1. A magnitude 7,2 earthquake devastated the city of Van in Eastern Turkey on Sunday, October 23, 2011. The earthquake which is the most powerful to hit Turkey in a decade has so far claimed 471 lives, injured 1650 people and caused wide-spread building collapses. While, aftershocks plague the region, rescue teams are still continuing their search operations.

Due to this tragic disaster, Turkish Prime Ministry has set up “Van Earthquake Humanitarian Assistance Fund” and launched a donation campaign for victims of the earthquake. If you wish to join this campaign, please make your financial donations through the bank accounts below:
