Turkish Consulate General in Houston invites suitable candidates to apply for the position of Secretary to the Consul General (non-Turkish citizens only)

Job requirements:

• Be in a possession of at least a high school graduation certificate
• Be in possession of at least a one-year Secretarial Diploma/Certificate
• Have at least 3 years experience as a secretary or personal assistant
• Provide proof of eligibility to work in the US (For US Citizens – US passport, US birth
• certificate or US naturalization; For Permanent Resident - Green Card)
• Be born after September 20, 1972

• Proficient in English, verbal and written
• Excellent communication skills
• Fully computer literate in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Planning and organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Adaptability
• Ability to attend to detail

Duties:

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include amongst other:

• Providing secretarial support to the Consul General
• Maintaining correspondence and communication of the Consulate with local authorities and other Consulates
• Organizing travel arrangements, meetings and events
• Preparing agendas for meetings
• Managing general office administration
• Keeping office schedule
• Handling reception duties when required
• Other office duties/paper work assigned

NOTE: Written examination will be held on September 23, 2013 at 10.00 am at the Consulate General. Those who succeed the written examination will be admitted to an oral exam on September 25, 2013 at 10.00 am.
