On July 15, 2016, Turkish democracy came under a heinous attack by a coup
attempt orchestrated by the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO). Thanks
to the heroic and exemplary resistance of the brave citizens of Turkey who took to the streets to defend democracy and democratic institutions, the heinous coup attempt was thwarted.
